Loads of great spot prizes will be awarded this year from our sponsors (look to the right). We are looking forward to enjoying the prize givings and having a great time on the water.
Rowing Competition
Following the Harbour Challenge there will be a row off for those feeling like they can manage a 500m sprint. Winners of the competition will be recipients of some great prizes from the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic and I mean great! So enter the event on the day and row your little hearts out!
Flare Demonstration
The Friday race requires all paddlers to have current orange smoke flare (yes not expired). The Tauranga Coastguard will be holding a flare demonstration at the Friday Race and Saturday Races for all paddlers to learn what to look for, how to use it and why old ones go bad!
Security
All teams towing waka to the event, can park their trailers at the Yacht Club Carpark in the designated area and overnight security will be provided for Friday night only. Waka can be unloaded and rigged in front of the Tauranga Yacht Club.
